East Water Well Failure
Dear Residents:
The Directors of Thunderbird Utility District are making residents aware of a catastrophic water well failure in the district at: 3003 Glenn Lakes Blvd. A new well will be required. The district is applying for an emergency request and approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Consent must be granted before a new well can be drilled at a cost of $2,500,000.00.
Thunderbird Utility District has enough water to supply the district with its current needs. Another well is currently in service and interconnect agreements with neighboring districts are available. We are asking residents to conserve water until the new well is completed, which will take approximately six (6) months from the date of approval by the TCEQ.
Some of the work will require twenty-four (24) hours a day operation and may be of some inconvenience to the residents in the immediate area. The district will keep residents updated on the progress and a starting date.
Should you have any questions, please call the district at: 281-499-5539.
Sincerely,
Thunderbird Utility District
